In 2008, MTR Western founder Darren Berg launched Sightline Tours in Vancouver, British Columbia. Vancouver’s premier sightseeing company, Sightline Tours offers tours of Victoria and Butchart Gardens, Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain, Whistler, along with daily sightseeing tours of downtown Vancouver, including a hop-on, hop-off double-decker motorcoach.
But operating a per-capita tour company comes with challenges. Manual sales processes, dispatch difficulties and lack of timely, relevant information thwart attempts at efficiency. Berg will have none of this. Recently named a Top 25 Serial Entrepreneur by Seattle Business Monthly, Berg has a gift for creativity and a knack for executing the impossible and executing well. His idea—a mobile sales solution called Intellagent—streamlines the entire process.
Intellagent uses cutting edge technology to deliver the most robust ticketing solution available. Sightline Tours uses Intellagent to significantly reduce operating costs while improving accuracy and efficiency. Intellagent's live database and unique barcodes mean overbooking, fraudulent tickets and voucher counting are history. MTR Western will also use Intellagent technology as the exclusive sales system for its scheduled service between Seattle and Vancouver, which launches in 2009.
